Robotic vacuum cleaner FAQs
Which robotic vacuum cleaner is best for my Indian home?
Choose by floor type, room layout, rugs, thresholds and how much maintenance you want to do. Yantra Lite offers LiDAR vacuuming and mopping for compact homes; RC60 adds rotary mopping and self-emptying; D63S adds extendable mopping and an all-in-one care station. Our Pune team can help match a model to your home.
What is the difference between a robot vacuum cleaner and a robot vacuum and mop?
A robot vacuum uses brushes and suction to collect dry dirt. A robot vacuum and mop also wipes suitable hard floors using water and a mop pad. All three Yantra models offer vacuuming and mopping, with different mop and station systems.
How does LiDAR sensing or LDS laser navigation work?
LiDAR uses reflected laser light to measure distances and build a room map. The navigation system uses that map to plan cleaning routes. Yantra Lite has 360° LiDAR, RC60 has LiDAR mapping, and D63S uses LDS with line-laser navigation. Mapping and small-object avoidance are different capabilities.
What does Pa suction power mean, and is more Pa always better?
Pa means pascals, a pressure measurement used in suction specifications. D63S lists up to 10,000 Pa robot suction and RC60 lists 5,000 Pa. Pickup also depends on airflow, brush contact, floor type, filter condition and cleaning mode. A higher advertised Pa figure alone does not prove better cleaning.
Is robot suction the same as self-emptying station suction?
No. Robot suction picks dirt up from the floor; station suction transfers dirt from the robot into a dust bag. D63S lists 10,000 Pa maximum robot suction and 20,000 Pa station suction. RC60 lists 5,000 Pa robot suction and 17 kPa station suction. One kPa equals 1,000 Pa.
What is a BLDC motor in a robotic vacuum cleaner?
BLDC means brushless DC motor. In a vacuum system, the motor drives a fan that creates airflow for dust collection. The Yantra RC60 specification lists a BLDC motor and a 70W cleaning system. Electrical watts and suction pressure in Pa measure different things and should not be compared as if they were the same.
What is Yantra Lite's suction power?
The currently published Yantra Lite specification does not give a verified Pa rating. It lists LiDAR navigation, a 5,200 mAh battery, water-flow control and high-efficiency filtration. Ask Yantra Care for the current model specification before comparing suction ratings.
Can a robotic vacuum cleaner handle Indian dust, pet hair and long hair?
Brushes, airflow and regular filter maintenance all affect dust and hair pickup. Remove tangled hair from brushes and keep air passages clear. Ask our team about your pets, hair load and floor surfaces; we do not claim that any Yantra model is tangle-free.
Can I use a robot vacuum and mop on marble, vitrified tiles or wooden floors?
Confirm compatibility with your floor finish and its care instructions, especially for moisture-sensitive wood or unsealed stone. Use suitable water-flow settings and approved cleaning solution. Avoid standing water and test a small area before regular mopping.
What is dual rotary mopping, and which Yantra models have it?
Dual rotary mops use two rotating pads to wipe the floor. Yantra RC60 and D63S list dual rotary mopping. D63S also has an extendable mop arm for edge reach; Yantra Lite uses controlled water-flow mopping.
What does a 15 mm mop lift do on the D63S?
The D63S can lift its mop assembly by up to 15 mm. Mop lift helps manage transitions to rugs and carpets, but suitability depends on carpet pile height and settings. Confirm your rug type with the care team and use appropriate exclusion zones.
What is the difference between self-emptying and a self-cleaning docking station?
A self-emptying station transfers dust into a bag. RC60 offers automatic dust emptying. D63S adds mop washing, hot-air drying, water refilling and station care, using separate clean- and waste-water tanks. Bags, tanks and brushes still need routine attention.
How much water and dust can the D63S station hold?
The published D63S specification lists a 4L clean-water tank, a 4L waste-water tank and a 3L dust bag. The robot itself lists a 300 ml dust bin and 65 ml water tank. Station capacity and onboard capacity are different.
How long does a Yantra robot vacuum battery last per clean?
D63S lists a 5,200 mAh battery and up to 370 minutes in quiet vacuuming mode, or up to 250 minutes in standard vacuuming mode. Lite lists up to 370 minutes based on supplied product information. RC60 lists approximately 90 minutes. Runtime varies with mode, floor, layout and usage; these figures are not directly comparable test results.
Can a robot vacuum clean multiple floors or climb stairs?
RC60 lists storage for up to three floor maps. A robot must be carried between levels; these products do not climb stairs. Check the current map-storage capability of the model you choose and protect open stair areas according to its operating instructions.
Can a Yantra robot cross door thresholds?
RC60 and D63S list obstacle crossing up to 20 mm. Actual crossing depends on the threshold shape, surface and cleaning configuration. Measure raised door sills and discuss them with Yantra Care before ordering.
Can I schedule cleaning, choose rooms and set no-go zones in the app?
RC60 lists room, zone, no-go area and schedule controls. D63S uses the SmartLife app for room, zone, spot and edge cleaning. Confirm the supported controls and app version for your exact model during setup.
Does Yantra support Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Alexa or Google Assistant?
D63S lists 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and SmartLife on iOS and Android. RC60 lists Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa support. Voice services, remote control and app features depend on the model, account, network and compatible devices; ask for setup guidance for your home.
Can a robot vacuum avoid wires, toys and small objects?
Laser mapping is not a guarantee that every cable or small item will be detected. Clear loose wires, small toys and fragile items before cleaning. D63S lists LDS plus line-laser navigation; exact obstacle-detection limits should be checked with Yantra Care.
What do HEPA filters and H13 filtration mean?
HEPA describes a class of high-efficiency particulate filters. RC60's supplied specification lists HEPA H13 filtration. A filter specification is not a medical claim or a guarantee about whole-room air quality. Clean or replace filters according to the model's care instructions.
Can I use tap water or floor cleaner in the robot mop?
Follow the model's instructions for water and cleaning solution. Water hardness can affect maintenance; ask our team about local water quality. Do not assume household floor cleaners, disinfectants or foaming liquids are compatible. Yantra's floor-care solution is listed for compatible D63S dispensing systems.
How often should I replace brushes, filters, mop pads and dust bags?
Yantra's indicative guidance is 6–12 months for the main brush, 3–6 months for side brushes and mop pads, and 2–4 months for filters. Dust-bag life depends on dirt volume and use. Inspect parts regularly and confirm RC60 or D63S compatibility before ordering.
Why is my robot vacuum's suction weak or cleaning uneven?
Check the dust bin or bag, filter, brush tangles, blocked air passages and selected suction setting using the model's maintenance instructions. If performance remains poor, contact Yantra Care for diagnosis. Do not open the motor, battery or electronics yourself.
What are the prices of Yantra robotic vacuum cleaners in Pune?
Current listed website prices are ₹27,000 for Yantra Lite, ₹35,000 for RC60 and ₹61,000 for D63S. Confirm final pricing, availability, delivery and installation with Yantra Care before ordering.
